I talked to Brian Stelter yesterday:
The app — entirely self-funded — costs $4.99. “We’ll funnel the money back into development,” Mr. Lammer said. “We have an iPhone version in the works, and we plan to expand the scope of the publications we feature dramatically — ultimately we see Longform as a central hub for serious readers all over the world.”
